Our Sports
Upper Arlington Special Olympics offers year-round sports training and competition to student and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities. We are a community of athletes, parents and volunteers, and we are always glad to meet someone new.
Who can join
Athletes of any age can take part in practices. Athletes must be at least 8 years old to take part in competitions. Athletes and their families pay nothing.

- Basketball Skills (White)Skills practice and team play, with a group for every level.
- Basketball Skills Plus (Gold)Skills practice and team play, with a group for every level.
- Basketball Adult (Black)Skills practice and team play, with a group for every level.
- BocceA calm, social ball game that anyone can learn. A great first sport.
- BowlingSunday evening bowling at Ten Pin Alley through the winter.
- CheerleadingCheer for our teams and perform with the squad.
- CornholeToss, score, and have fun. Easy to learn and easy to love.
- PickleballA friendly weekly game at the Community Center. Easy to pick up, and a great first racquet sport.
- Soccer SkillsSoccer is for all athletes! Skills and team play each fall.
- Soccer TeamSoccer is for all athletes! Skills and team play each fall.
- SwimmingSwim practices and meets with our great coaches.
- Track & FieldRunning, walking, and field events at the Jones Middle School track.
- Walking ClubWalk together at your own pace, indoors and out. No experience needed.
